individual pieces and color-coordinated packets in this section. Most of
the fabrics are silks, but we also have some cottons, blends, and
synthetics. In most cases, these fabrics have been salvaged from kimono 30 to 70 years
old -- and some are "dead stock"
items -- generally about 30 years old. Click on the thumbnails for more

A lawn-weight
cotton piece in shades of berry with green, and black leaves
accenting the whole. One piece is approximately 13.5 inches square.

yarn-dyed woven silk with a crisp hand, this piece came from a
sleeve. The colors are coppery rust and gold. This piece measures 14 wide by
16.5 inches and shows the effects of needling along the former
seams. In otherwise excellent condition.

A mint condition
cotton dead-stock, this yukata-weight fabric is yarn-dyed before weaving.
Dark indigo blue with stripes in greenish grey, light indigo, white,
and maroon. Available by the yard -- we will cut any desired length
over 6 inches.
